Key Features of the eufy RoboVac 25C

The main goal of this eufy 25C review is to help you get more familiar with the robot’s features and figure out if it would be a good fit for your household. Below, we listed some of the most essential things that make this model a great purchase.

Brush System

The eufy RoboVac is equipped with three brushes: one located in the center and two on the side. The bigger double-helix brush will get to all the dirt and dust that’s in your carpets, even the particles that are stuck deep between the fibers.

The side brushes are propeller-type and are meant to take care of the floors. They rotate constantly and will gather all the dirt, dust, and particles that the other brush misses. In the packaging, you’ll also receive four free side brushes that will spare you from additional expenses in the near future.

The robot is equipped with a 0.6-liter dustbin which is approximately 20 gallons. The dustbin sizes of robot vacuums range between 0.25 liters and 1 liter. This one is somewhere in the middle of the range. You won’t have to empty it too often, but it’s not the most suitable for covering large areas.

Battery Life

The battery life is one of the most important features to look for in a robot vacuum. This one uses a high-quality lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 2600 mAh.

The running time of this robot vacuum is 100 minutes, which is enough to go over most homes. If you’re looking for a vacuum that will cover large areas, you should probably find one with a longer running time.

The good thing about the RoboVac 25C is that it goes back to the charging dock once the battery runs out. It will take around 300 minutes for this eufy robot to be fully charged.

Smart Features

If there’s anything that people love in robot vacuums, it’s their smart features. It makes them easier to use and operate from wherever you’re located. This eufy robot is compatible with both Alexa and Google Assistant.

When you connect the vacuuming robot to these two devices, you can control when it starts, stops, and returns to the dock.

If you download the eufyHome app on your phone, you can control the vacuum from your iPhone or Android phone. It also offers you the option to set cleaning schedules, so the robot will leave your floors and carpets clean while you’re not at home.

If you’re not a huge tech fan, there’s no need to worry. You can use the vacuum without Wi-Fi and it will clean your home equally well.

Control

As we mentioned before, the RoboVac 25C is a smart vacuum that you can control via your mobile phone, Alexa, or Google Assistant devices. There is no need to clean with your commercial vacuum multiple times a week when you can own a smart robot device.

For everyone who prefers the old-fashioned way, the machine is built with touch-control buttons in the top part, which is very easy to use. The manufacturer also includes a remote control in the packaging that works within ten feet of the robot.

Cleaning Modes

The eufy RoboVac is equipped with four different cleaning modes. The quick-clean mode takes about half an hour and is perfect for day-to-day use. Whenever your rooms need a quick pick-me-up, you should opt for this mode.

Next, the auto mode is the best when you want the robot to cover your whole home. Just turn it on and let the vacuum do its job.

If you turn on the edge mode, the machine will spend 20 minutes going right next to the walls, cleaning the edges and leaving them spotless.

The spot mode is perfect for carpet stains and areas that require more attention. It takes two minutes.

BoostIQ Technology

The BoostIQ Technology is one that helps the robot adapt its power depending on whether it’s cleaning your floors or carpets. If you turn on this technology, the RoboVac 25C will use its sensors to determine where it’s located in your home and what kind of surface it’s located on.

When the sensors detect the surface, they send signals to the robot and let it know that it’s time to adapt the suction power. In general, carpets require a higher suction power, while floors are easier to clean.

The sensors will also detect the density of your carpets so that they can adjust the suction accordingly. The higher the suction is, the better the robot vacuum will be able to clean up particles, dirt, and debris.

If you don’t want to use the BoostIQ Technology, you can always set the suction power to a maximum or opt for a standard setting.

Suction Power

Numbers might not mean a lot to you while you’re browsing for vacuums because there’s just too many to remember. One of the essential numbers you have to consider is the suction power. Because of the affordable nature of this product, we were slightly worried that it wouldn’t perform as well as similar designs, but the entire team was pleasantly surprised.

The maximum suction power is 1500 Pa, which is somewhere in the middle of the scale for robot vacuums. If you compare it with other machines that come at a similar price, the suction power of this eufy robot is higher and it does a better job.

Just for comparison, some of the most affordable Roomba robots have a suction power of around 600 Pa. That’s around a third of the power of the RoboVac 25C.

Slim Design

The eufy RoboVac is not only an aesthetically pleasing robot vacuum, but it’s also pretty thin. The height of the design is 2.85 inches, which helps it get under most furniture in your home. If you’re tired of bulky robots that only clean carpets and floors without getting to corners and hidden spots, you should consider this model.

The patterns that it makes while moving aren’t synchronized. That’s why you’ll see it clean over the same area several times. The good thing is that it doesn’t bump on furniture and it won’t cause any damage. If you want to use virtual barriers, you’ll have to purchase them separately.

Filter System

The filtration system of this vacuum is made up of three filters. All are located inside the dust box and provide a three-layer filtration. The pre-filter that is a part of the design traps large dirt and dust pieces and makes sure that the remaining two are able to get the smallest particles.

This model is a good purchase for families with pets and allergies because it traps hair and captures the smallest allergens.

Unfortunately, the robot doesn’t come with a HEPA filter, and the filters that it has are not washable.

FAQ

Does EUFY RoboVac 25C work on carpet?

The good news is, the EUFY RoboVac 25C is suitable for both hard floors and carpets. This model has three brushes that easily loosen the dirt and debris particles deep within carpet fibers. A three-layer filtration system filters the debris and sends it to the attached dustbin.

The EUFY RoboVac is also suitable for pet hair and dander often embedded into carpets and rugs. You might have to consider the height and thickness of your carpet pile as well, as it’s important to remember that your battery life will be shorter on carpets. You might have to recharge more often if you’re vacuuming carpets than if you are vacuuming hard floors.

Does EUFY vacuum work without wi-fi?

The EUFY RoboVac 25C can work without wi-fi if you use the remote control. Simply use the remote control to start and stop the vacuum. You can also use the remote control to set up a schedule. Some of the newer models don’t come with a remote and have to be controlled using the EUFY Home app on a smartphone. If you don’t have access to wi-fi at your home, make sure to download the app on one of your smart devices.

Does EUFY map your house?

EUFY uses AI Mapping Technology for maximum precision. Real-time mapping easily allows for extensive cleaning that’s specifically programmed for your home. Use your smartphone to set virtual boundaries and identify the areas that don’t require cleaning. Mapping can effectively judge the distance between walls, doors, and other obstacles. In essence, it makes it easier for the vacuum cleaner to understand the layout of your home. Once the EUFY has mapped your home on the initial clean, it stores the information for future cleaning, making the process quicker and easier.

How long do EUFY vacuums last?

The EUFY battery is one of the longest-lasting batteries currently on the market. When the battery is fully charged, the unit can operate for around 100 minutes at any given time. Battery life depends on the type of floor as well as the condition of the floor. When running the machine over carpeted floors which require stronger suction, more power is used by the battery. That means the battery will run down much more quickly.

Long-term, ensuring your EUFY has a longer lifespan depends on how you maintain the unit. Manufacturers recommend changing the filter every 3 to 6 months.

Final Thoughts

For anyone who’s in the market for an affordable but powerful robot vacuum, the eufy RoboVac is one of the best choices. Our rating for its overall performance, size, and features is 4.4 out of 5.

We love that it’s equipped with smart control, remote control, and added buttons on top. Our team was pleasantly surprised by the high suction power of 1500 Pa, and we love how fast and efficiently this robot can take care of pet hair on carpets and floors.
